Blake Rutherford
Blake Rutherford, an attorney, is the Director of Public Affairs at Stone Ward. With almost a decade’s worth of experience in various aspects of politics as well as an understanding of corporate issues from a legal perspective, Blake offers insight on governmental affairs, issues management, public policy, as well as strategic counsel related to issues that sit at the nexus of business and politics.
A graduate of Middlebury College and the University of Arkansas School of Law, Blake is the co-founder of Oleet & Rutherford LLC a consulting firm established to forecast electoral outcomes and facilitate strategic allocation of limited capital and resources. Over the course of four years Oleet & Rutherford completed work for congressional, gubernatorial and presidential candidates, as well as The White House.
After graduating from the University of Arkansas School of Law, Blake joined Wright, Lindsey & Jennings LLP in Little Rock. His work there focused primarily on for-profit and not-for-profit corporations, regulatory, administrative, and election law. Blake provided advice and counsel to political and issue campaigns and served as General Counsel to the Democratic Party of Arkansas.
Committed to community and philanthropy, Blake currently serves as a Commissioner on the Little Rock Central High School 50th Anniversary Commission and has worked on national programs and events such as the Grand Opening of the Clinton Presidential Library and the inaugural Clinton Global Initiative in 2005.
