You can’t beat days like today in Little Rock. 82 degrees, sunny, light breeze. I spent some time outside reading “The Big One: An Island, an Obsession, and the Furious Pursuit of a Great Fish” about the Striped Bass & Bluefish Derby held each September in Martha’s Vineyard. And I enjoyed the Arkansas Razorbacks’ rally in the bottom of the ninth to beat an obnoxious Florida State team in Tallahassee.
Speaking of books, I’m hearing good things about “Renegade: The Making of a President” by Richard Wolff. He was granted substantial access to then-candidate Barack Obama during the campaign. Also, Amazon notes that Mr. Obama’s campaign manager, David Plouffe, will release his book, “The Audacity to Win: The Inside Story and Lesson’s from Barack Obama’s Historic Victory,” will be released in November.
I’m doing a little prep for the radio show tomorrow. Loads of encouragement have come from my two guests, David Kinkade and Lance Turner. We’re also awaiting confirmation of a special mystery guest, too. You’ll have to tune in to 103.7 The Buzz Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. to see if she shows up.
I’m still thinking about the topics (Twitter, Kris Allen, John Brummett/Arkansas Project Girlfriend, Everyone Running for Political Office in Arkansas), but you can take it to the bank that I’m not talking about Rihanna. Dumb Arkie, you’re going to have to find your amusement in the many other stupid things I’ll say tomorrow. (Oh wait, I just read on the Internet that she’s releasing nude photos of Chris Brown in response to rumors that he leaked nude photos of her. Mr. Kinkade is certain to bring it up.) Follow me on Twitter for more updates.
Until tomorrow . . .
I anticipate a blissful day of Schadenfreude!
