Arkie Tweeter @melissaar has a blog called Melissa Runs and she offers her thoughts on Arkansas News Bureau columnist John Brummett’s comments regarding Arkansas Project Girlfriend, a frequent mention on David Kinkade’s blog, The Arkansas Project.

Melissa writes,

John Brummett’s entire criticism of blogs is regarding journalistic credibility, ethics, and professionalism. By implying that someone is too ugly, dorky, mis-fity, mean, etc. to not have a “real girlfriend” and resort to writing about an “imaginary” girlfriend, John Brummett has lowered himself to a tactic that most people outgrow by the time they graduate junior high school.

The Arkansas Project has a witty reply, of course. This is solid gold.

I didn’t touch on this yesterday, but I do find it pretty sad that Mr. Brummett that would take space to note, “Afterward a perfectly normal-looking and nice-seeming young woman introduced herself to me as the “Arkansas Project girlfriend.” Then again, this is John Brummett we’re talking about here. High class all the way, baby.

P.S. An e-mail came through from Mr. Brummett announcing his formal foray into movie reviews. I’ve posted the first one below.”Terminator Salvation.”
