Arkie blogger Jason Tolbert has some really good stuff on Sen. Kim Hendren today. So good, in fact, that Ben Smith of Politico picked it up for his blog. Read it.
But I must temper my enthusiasm before another judgmental Arkansas print journalist reminds me how much independent blogs suck.

UPDATE II: On the national news in Mr. Tolbert’s post – - that Sen. Hendren referred to NY Sen. Chuck Schumer as “that Jew” – - merits discussion, which is happening over on The Arkansas Project. Unlike John Brummett, who lovingly wrote, “as a modern state legislator, [Sen. Kim Hendren] has relied on common sense,” this candidacy was a non-starter for me. Sen. Blanche Lincoln would have wiped the floor with him regardless of this gaffe. But she’s probably not going to get the chance. This guy won’t make it to Riverfest much less November 2010.
