The commentating, opining, blogging, tweeting and moviegoing John Brummett has yet to share with us his complete Oscar picks. We know that he’s not rooting for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” of course. He is for “Slumdog Millionaire” and Mickey Rourke. But that’s all we know, unfortunately. Oh wait, I checked his Twitter feed and there’s this: “been afraid of this: la times says oscar voters saying slumdog millionaire not their idea of oscar-type film, going with benjamin button.”

The Think Tank’s neglected sister site “The Moviegoer” has a little Oscar talk. Tomorrow, you can find my Oscar picks in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette along with several other Arkies including the Martins Collective (Philip and Karen), Bill Vickery, Jacob Lemaster, Sam Blair, Danny Joe Crawford and Matt Smith, and at InContention.com.

The Oscars are Sunday in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on ABC at 7:00 p.m. For years I’ve live-blogged the damn thing. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear my reactions Monday morning at 7:40 a.m. on First News with Bob Steel on AM 920 and FM 102.9 in Arkansas.

Until then, John, I’m waiting on you.

UPDATE: That Mr. Brummett is so coy. On his vibrant blog he hints at the best movie of the year (“The Dark Knight”) and suggests that on Sunday he’ll opine about the Oscars.

UPDATE II: Finally!
