Get off my ballot!

The battle over the future of the lottery in Arkansas took an interesting turn today when lawyers from the conservative Arkansas Family Council filed a petition with the Arkansas Supreme Court to have the matter thrown off the ballot because they contend the ballot title and name are “innacurate, incomplete and misleading.”

This is the standard by which all ballot challenges are reviewed.  Having argued one before the Supreme Court once before, they’re always interesting to watch.  That said, this Court has affirmed more questionable (not to mention confusing) language in the past.  It’s hard to see the AFC prevailing here.
